Mansfield Real Estate

Like so many suburban cities surrounding the outskirts of Dallas and Fort Worth, the City of Mansfield has seen a surge in population over the last decade.

Mansfield is located in the southeast corner of Tarrant County, just 21 miles south of downtown Fort Worth, and 12 miles east of Burleson.

According to the US Census Bureau, Mansfield has increased in population by nearly 31% over the last decade—from 42,958 in 2000 to 50,657 in 2010.

Barely 10 years ago, Mansfield’s first High School opened its doors.  Now, after the completion of Mansfield Timberview—set to open later this year—the city will boast six secondary schools to go with 21 elementary and a dozen middle schools.

The rapid rise of educational institutions makes Mansfield real estate extremely attractive for those with school-aged children.

For entertainment for the entire family, there’s nearby Joe Pool Lake—perfect for camping, fishing, as well as golf.

Joe Pool Lake boasts some of the best bass fishing in Texas, and it also provides over 3,400 acres of campgrounds.

For the golf-minded, Joe Pool provides Tangle Ridge Golf Course, recently ranked the 12th best course in Texas by Golf Digest.

For sports fans, the Grand Prairie Air Hogs, Texas Rangers, and Dallas Cowboys all play within a short distance of Mansfield.  For amusement parks, it’s hard to beat Six Flags over Texas and Hurricane Harbor, both of which are just a half-hour away in Arlington.

Mansfield is also the home of “Big League Dreams,” a state-of-the-art facility featuring softball fields designed to resemble real major league stadiums.

Adults can see what it feels like to play at Wrigley Field, Rangers Ballpark, or the Polo Grounds, while their children play soccer on the site’s 20,000 square foot indoor complex.

With its excellent school system, and multiple entertainment options, it’s readily apparent why Mansfield real estate’s appeal escalates yearly.

According to the US Census, Mansfield’s owner-occupied houses averaged $127,000 in value—54% higher than the state’s average of $82,500.

Whether seeking an excellent return on a real estate investment, or exploring the ultimate area to raise a family, Mansfield offers the finest in top-notch real estate.
